Taka is a 30 metre (100ft) purpose built dive boat, being built from the ground up, that is designed to visit those remote dive sites in maximum comfort.

Cod Hole & Northern Great Barrier Reef - 4 Day / 3 Night Dive Cruise

Departure: Tuesdays

Day One - Pick up from Cairns Accommodation at 5.00pm and transfer to the vessel, which departs from Cairns Harbour and travels over the smooth waters inside the Great Barrier Reef up to the Cod Hole.

Day Two - Arriving at the Cod Hole at approx 9am. Our second dive at the Cod Hole is the Cod Feed, where huge schools of fish and Maori Wrasses compete with the large family of Potato Cod for a fish dinner. This would have to be one of the world's premier dive experiences. After the second dive we move down the Ribbon Reefs to one of our many select dive locations for an afternoon dive and later a night dive.

Day Three - This day is spent diving the Ribbon Reefs at various locations that we have chosen for their diversity of marine life and architecture. You will see giant clams up to 2 metres across, huge coral gardens, swim throughs and an abundance of marine life unmatched anywhere on this planet. 3 day dives and a night dive.

Day Four - We do 2 dives on this day, as we are now nearing the end of our trip. These dives are on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef and feature unique coral formations and fish life. Then cruise through the reefs arriving back into Cairns at approx 3.30 pm.

Cod Hole & Coral Sea - 5 Day / 4 Night Dive Cruise

Departure: Fridays

Day One - Pick up from Cairns accommodation at 5.00pm and transfer to the vessel, which departs from Cairns Harbour and travels over the smooth waters inside the Great Barrier Reef up to the Cod Hole.

Day Two - Arriving at the Cod Hole at approx 9am. We do our first dive at the Cod Hole, which allows divers to get back into the swing of things as well as check out the huge variety of marine life that lives in this area. Our second dive at the Cod Hole is the Cod Feed, where huge schools of fish and Maori Wrasses compete with the large family of Potato Cod for a fish dinner. This would have to be one of the world's premier dive experiences. We do another dive in this area at either Dynamite Pass or Snake Gully, then a night dive. Depart this area at approximately midnight to travel to Osprey Reef.

Day Three - Diving Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea, the most exciting shark diving location in Australia. We do a Shark feed and some stunning wall dives in this world famous area that has an average visibility of 40 metres.

Day Four - This day is spent divng the Ribbon Reefs at various locations we have chosen for their diversity of marine life and coral architecture. 2 Day / 1 Night Dive & Snorkel Cruise

Daily departures from Cairns

This is the premier overnight Great Barrier Reef sail and dive vessel in Cairns. A 140' brigantine, she combines the adventure and romance of the 1890's with state of the art equipment and modern amenities of the 1990's. Air-conditioned throughout, she offers accommodation in comfortable 2, 3 or 4 berth cabins Her spectacular saloon with large dining area, lounge and cocktail bar reflects her nautical charm. All meals are prepared daily in her commercial galley by our on board chef. There is a spa on the foredeck to soak in or join the crew as we hoist the sails as we cruise to the next reef. Life on board is as active or relaxed as you like. The vessel has a purpose built dive platform allowing easy access into the water. The vessel is based on the Outer Barrier Reef. Daily Transfers are provided from Cairns on a purpose built, fully equipped, dive vessel.
