Nice fish, 18.1kg of anything is a solid fish but makes it better when its something of that calibre. Oh and that riviera that went aground, mate of mines son worked on it for weeks to fix an engine vibration problem only to have him nail it into the rocks at DI. So much for 10 grands worth of navigation and auto pilot equipment. two eyes and common sense beat computers and gadgets any day.

Reds was our main target and we only fished in close for a few hours to pull some different species and check some marks for the rainbow beach fishing comp coming up. We didnt have much room left in the esky for anything else but still managed a good feed of other reefies pretty quick.
Cheers Greg

Phil..
I don't think I'll bother reading any more reports ... everything else will be an anticlimax.
Look forward to getting a big boat one day. My mate and I tried to motor to DI from Mooloolooba in a 4.5 metre job and ended up fishing at Noosa instead.
That's what dreams are made of even for seasoned fishermen.
Post some photos on a jewfish session to match and I'll hate you forever
