    82cm Aplins barra

    Hey guys, this is a photo of an 82cm (7kg!) barra I caught on a live milkfish at Aplins weir about a month ago (before the cold set in). It was one of three barra hooked that night.

    Caught on live milkies? Would have been as much fun catchin the bait as it was getting the barra wouldn't it.

    lol. Not quite. The milkfish school up around the full moon in the saltwater. They are common between 10-20cm at Aplins. Get half a dozen 20cm milkfish in the cast net and you will know about it .
