GME AE60 27mhz Antenna Replacement with AE30 VHF Antenna

    Hi All,

I will shortly be replacing my old 27mhz GME AE60 antenna on the tinny to a VHF antenna as the 27mhz marine radios are being phased out from Volunteer Sea Rescue Groups.
I was looking at the GME AE30 VHF unit as direct replacement as it seems it would use the same mounting footprint and holes I already have drilled.
However I can see the AE30 is now discontinued which means I may have to move to the still produced GME AE346V (VHF) unit.

    Now to the questions.

On GME's website I can find the Mounting Template image for the newer AE346x range so I can see the footprint it uses but I cant find Mounting Templates for the older AE60 and AE30 to see what their footprint looks like to see if the AE346V will be a direct replacement.
Do any of you great fishos out there have saved on your computers the template for the AE60 extra you could post or PM to me?
Failing all that if I'm concerned enough I will have to physically remove my old 27mhz AE60 and measure it to compare.....

This now also leads to my 2nd question do any of you great guys/gals out there have a new unused AE30 lying about you could sell to a fellow fisher?
Extremely long shot but you just never know.

    Cheers all and tight lines.

    Regards,
    Peter

A pity you're in WA as I have a spare Attachment 127619 Antenna Base I was selling for $20. Would have saved you some money.
