Hi all looking at a 530 how do they preform offshore

I haven't had a Renegade, but I wouldn't think that bad.
We have a 5m Top Ender, it handles offshore really well, as long as it isn't too messy, be like most, drive to conditions, don't plan trips when it's 25kn.

A lot also depends on where you will be using it, up north qld I notice that the swell can be a lot smaller and longer between swells which can make it more pleasurable. As Corry says, drive it to the conditions. I have a Formosa 520 which is a lot more boat and still need to take it easy here on the Sunshine Coast if the swell is around the 1.5m with wind chop on it., even 1 m with 15 knots it needs care if heading into it.

No worries, most tinnies will work there, just need to pick weather. Also remember the Marine Park boundaries got changed around Wolfe Rock last year.
