Hi All,
To me this reel looks awesome (maybe I have been hooked by the cool colours!), but would value some first-hand knowledge?

Has anyone got/used this reel? What rod did you pair it with and what braid weight?

Any down side? Anything better?

If it's anything like Daiwa's other Saltiga's they are awesome. We've changed nearly all our reels over to Saltiga's now, except our jigging set ups, we use Lexa's for that, on Ocean Legacy rods. All our Saltiga's are on Spartan rods of varying size, except the big ones, 14000, they are on Zenaq rods.

If you search the Tube, Tackle West normally do good reviews on a lot of the high end reels, haven't looked if they've covered this one, but I'm looking for another couple of set ups for inshore so will start looking again soon too.

I have one paired with a Zenaq PE2/3 setup. Great fit and finish. Sadly have not used it enough to give you real world feedback. it looks sexy though.
