    Simrad lost gps connection

Hey guys my simrad chatt plotter thing is always showing a gps location of a spot I was at a while ago.

I've tried doing a fa Tory reset and still says I'm there (it's about 5kms from where I am)

Macca, have you contacted Simrad, never had dealings with them but the Garmin people were always helpful when I needed advice.

Macca, which maps are you running as I've just purchased a Simrad evo3s (to control my Motorguide)and wondering which maps I should buy as it takes Insight, Navionics (Gold, NAV+ Platinum+) , C-MAP, MAX N, MAX N+,Reveal. I am also currently running a Garmin which is running a Navionics, not sure which one though.

The other thing I'm interested in is if anyone is runniing a NMEA2000 network and getting fuel info from their motor, particularly a Yammy. It seems the mechanics are a bit dubious to how much info is provided. One of the reasons is that the boat was fitted with the cheaper gauges and apart from revs, hours used and voltage it doesn't show fuel flow which I had on a previous boat. To replace with upgraded gauges is around the $1kk mark although I've seen prices starting at mid 600's so a $160 NMEA cable from the motor sounds a little more budget friendly.
