    Easter Sunday tailor

If you want a feed of tailor then head to the grain terminal at Pinkenba at night and throw anything into the lights under the wharf....you could bag out in minutes there.
Currently they are about 40-50cm choppers that I caught tonight....sent them back into the drink.
Not much else of interest in the Bris River I saw today.

Gee, I read this post very late. Would have been great to get a feed of tailor, Unfortunately for me no longer have a boat due to location. Having one not so good leg rules out beach fishing for me.

Plenty still around that can be caught land based at dawn.....my decky caught 4 on Anzac day at Woody Point....45 to 55cm.
Pillies under a float in the evening at Woody Point Pier should see you bag out with decent choppers.
The tailor are at the grain wharf most night for about 8 months of the year.....this wharf has the brightest lights on the water.

    tunaticer,

Seems like the best place is the grain wharf at night, unfortunately no access from the land.

tailor are annoying at any lit area at night....after about 2 hours of darkness.....they need to find the lights.

The brisbane end of the coal terminal pilons is nearly always loaded with tailor at night....also a go to spot for livies.

Lately I have been losing lots of plastics to small tailor in the deepest water.....no big tailor there.

Plenty of tailor at the oyster ROBS reef off the rockwall in front of the port....every plastic you drop there gets shortened very quickly making it hard to get a snapper.

Is the end of Howard Smith Drive closed to land based action these days?
Used to have access there years ago....haven't seen anyone there for a while now.
    Jack.
