    Question for the spearos here

    Can a spear gun shoot / fire anything other than dedicated spears ?

    maybe something like reo bar ? or threaded rod ?

    any and all responses appreciated

    Easier ways to get rid of toads.
    I guess the question is what are you planning to use it on.

    It would have to be smooth like the spear is for the spear gun anything like reo might deviate due the the ridges on it.

    I guess it’s technically possible to shoot anything that’s roughly the same diameter and suitable length, and has a notch for the rubber. No idea what you’re planning, but a speargun out of the water is near impossible to aim, and a broken rubber would be a real gem……but that said, we always made our own spears, slightly thicker than “standard” and with extra or better rubbers the thicker/heavier spear was way better for big fish.
