My epoxy hardener just showed up so now i can fill the holes in my hull and make some kind of trolling motor mount and get it glassed, keep an eye out

The motor pulls 50amps at full speed any idea if i can use 3x 20amp adjustable step down converters in parallel to drop the voltage of a lifepo4? I should technically get the run time from one lifepo4 as two AGM

    Re: electric anchor winch

Seems like an overly complicated expensive way to do something.

just buy a battery that can handle 100 ah discharge
no idea what you would even think you need to do this

Garry certainly thinks outside the box....Cant wait to see the new lowered, glassed on motor mount with 48 inch motor with the triple step down converters...

It all sounds a bit like the modified and re-engineered trailer mover.....

    Re: electric anchor winch

The watersnakes cant handle 14.4volts (lithium battery) they can only handle lead acid and agm 12.8v, i was thinking of ordering 4 of those 20amp adjustable voltage output regulators hook them up 14.4v in and 12.5volts output, using the lithium doubles the hours of use than going 2 lithiums in parallel with give 4 times the run time for only the weight of 2 100ah lithiums rather than trying to stick a 200ah agm up in the bow thats gotta weigh 60-65kg

The regulators are only $15 on ##########

I can see what you're trying to do, just not an electronic person but think there has to be a simpler way of doing it.

Hey Digs they do sell 60amp dc to dc converters but i haven't found any that have an adjustable voltage output
