    Tossup ended up being between the Squall and a Daiwa Lexa 300 HD !!.
    Bought the Squall in the end for versatillity.
    The Lexa is on the To Do List though .

    Sorry I didn't see what rod you were planning to use - totally agree on the Speedmaster 12 being oversized ....... It's a lot of coin but the little talica 8 would have been a good choice .

    Played around with one of those too and a very impressive Reel it is too but unless i know fer sure ill be hooked on Jigging the outlay for what that reel will be used for isnt for me at present .
    Now the lexus would suit other purposes if Jigging doesnt work out and it impressed me also ..
