    Trailer reverse camera

    Hi.
I am after a reversing camera for the back of the boat trailer.

Is to use when reversing into my tricky bending sloping driveway, or when overnighting elsewhere.

    Any experiences or suggestions?

This is the one I'm interested in - What I like about it is that it allows you multiple cameras

Parkmate RVM-073A 7.3” Super Wide LCD Rear view Mirror Monitor

You'll need to find out who is selling them & if they have the additional cameras - it would probably cost you $500-$600 though

my garmin gps has a reverse camera that is wireless....wouldn't take much to have a QR mount to fit to the boat...even a suction cup on the outboard.

    NAGG.

    Thanks for that.
I really like the multiple, 3 cameras option, but for now I have a slight preference to keep my rear view mirror as is.

If you have an older mobile there must be a way to connect it to your new phone. Just use velcro to temporarily mount it. After all a mate used a few old phones as security cameras for a while, not sure how he did it but might be worth exploring.

    Hi tunaticer.

    Thanks,
I googled and found the Garmin BC30.

Nice small Cam, that is easy to 'screw' or 'clip on' as required.
Cam is connected to a Transmitter that should be positioned nearby (comes with 0.5m cable).

Transmitter transmits wirelessly to Garmin GPS, so you would fix the transmitter permanently at rear of vehicle, boat, or trailer, where ever the Cam is.

Transmitter needs to be connected to 12V, comes with 3m cable.
If Transmitter is connected to reversing lights, then GPS switches to reversing camera mode automatically.
If Transmitter is connected to accessories or constant 12v then you manually switch, at GPS.

The BC35 is similar to the BC30, but the BC35 has a wider viewing angle.

The BC40 has a Cam that also does the transmitting (no separate transmitter box).

    ...

Now waiting for Moose to step in here & correct my 'typos' & maybe add some info.

since I have a canopy .... my rear view mirror is redundant

So I need to replace that with a permanent rear view camera - what better place for that than the rear view mirror
