I’d recommend talking to Mal at Creek Marine at Alderley in Brisbane there isn’t much he dosent know about Mercs
Something like this once u work out your most fuel efficient rpm and angle on the gauge a simple set and forget obviously it would be going wild at idle hence u use it while at speed to set trim

The new boat has a trim gauge and I was wondering whether I would ever use it. I guess the benefit could be once I work how it best rides in leading and following swells of different sizes I can dial straight in to that trim without needing the possible slight adjustments - but every swell is different in regards to wave steepness and gap between waves so I’m not sure if this theoretical benefit would ever actually be realised except on a mild day
