Gday guys, quick report from today, 10.04.2021.
Left Caloundra at 5.00am headed for 200m+. BOM current graph showing 0.6 knots and light winds. I was asking myself, is this enough run to have fun?
Got to first spot for very little show but dropped in a spot for 1 green eye shark. Sounded around for no more. Moved 5km SE and found som reasonable shows. Got 2 more sharks.
Spot 3 is a further 5km east. No shows at all.
Then drove 9km north to the last deep water spot. Nothing to report here either.
Stopped at a wreck in 140m on the eat home for nil.
Then stopped at the 100m line for nil again.
Guts of it is, I travelled 260km, used about 290lts of fuel and didn’t bring a scale home.
Very disappointing however sea condition were magical.
Cheers

Bump! Just had exactly the same trip yesterday 😂 tried some new ground east of the hards about a 80km run and stayed in the 300-400m area and couldn’t even get a green eye, then started my way south dropping on potential ground with good shows but the sharks got to the bait first, boat was in the water at 2am and out at 5pm 250km and total tally was 30 green eye sharks to show for the effort
thoughts on this show? I was getting triple sharks but can see a bit of red amongst the blue
Mercury 115ct going strong😁
