Put me down for 1
Who's heard the news of FIAT Chrysler New Zealand has secured the rights to import and convert the Dodge Ram in unlimited numbers for sale in Aus & NZ?
I would think this would be very interesting news given the constant call for these large utility vehicles being made available in Aus direct from the manufacturer. I understand there are a number of business's that already do this kind of work, with a notable example based in Gympie. But to now have the option to buy directly from the manufacturer (not completely confirmed, but likely) would appeal to a lot of potential buyers.
Normally these kind of press releases are quite vague in nature and usually take many years before coming to fruition. It look like the deal has been done and these cars will be available by late 2015...that's only 6-8 months away! HSV has been mentioned has the company doing the conversion work...again quite reputable in nature and I would think have certain appeal to potential customers.
Would any punters amongst the Ausfish group consider this option?

Depends on what options it comes with. Also whether or not it came with a HSV sticker, don't want to be thought of as a bogan.......
Would have to buy a 7 tonne boat first....
Still no word on the 1500 s tho

Lot of money.
Probably require a truck licence to drive it, may as well buy a real truck, for a lot less!
Don't understand the heap of money bit considering a 200 series cruiser can top out at 125K

Twin Cab Cruiser tray top can top $100k so $120k for the RAM will make it popular. I don't think they use the Dodge moniker in the 'states anymore, just Ram Trucks now.
Why do men like Ram Trucks?

I fish because the little voices in my head tell me to
so apparently we were supposed to have the RAM here by September-- has anyone heard if the plan has progressed or been put back at all, thoughts?
