Maybe time to have a show of hands.

I am 50/50...... but leaning towards being OK to go. Work commitments will be sorted by about 6th -7th so I will know then.

    Re: Breaksea Spit ( Hervey Bay ) M & G. November 2014

Here is a bit of info for Ausfish members attending. It maybe helpfull, maybe not ?

    Wathumba Wreck S24 59.716 E153 11.266
assorted reefies, bait, but fishes better after dark.

    Washing machines S24 55.713 E153 12.741
First and last light are prime times.

    Washing machines north S24 54.509E153 12.671
    Coffee rock around this area.

    Rooney SW S24 51.115 E153 04.530
about 5k's SW of Rooneys, old wreck with bait on it. Try in winter for Snaps

    Rooney Point S24 49.190 E153 08.212
Blacks can be here from Oct to Dec. Troll skirted lures.

    Rooney 4 mile S24 46.188 E153 04.263
Current runs hard but fishes well for pelagics.

    Rooney 8 mile S24 46.242 E152 58.277
Good fish to be had here, but find bait first, if no bait around, go somewhere else

    18 mile Area S24 44.326 E152 48.644
This is halfway between Rooney point and Bundaberg. Some drop offs aroundwith Trout, snapper and assorted reef fish here including reef jacks at night.

    Gutters 1. S24 40.277 E152 47.900
The gutters run SW to NE through this area, good reefies and fishes best with live baits

    Gutters 2. S24 32.859 E152 46.342
Reefies at night is best here

    Wreck S24 33.574 E152 49.519
Couple of wrecks here. Cobes and Snapper also.

    Sandy cape shoals S24 36.274 E153 20.738
Pelagics here and drifting into waters to 30mtrs to find Green Jobbies

    Break sea rough patch S24 33.348 E153 21.199
This area has a lot of small rises 2m 4m high, fish anything that has bait.

    Break sea north S24 26.152 E153 17.232
38k's north of sandy cape this area holds great fish but the taxman is prevelant.

    Light ship S24 16.753 E153 05.624
Current can be on issue here, but the fishing can also be amazing. Fish at night for great results

    Break sea NW patchS24 17.729 E153 01.324
Big Reds and Nannies, set your sounder to search the bottom 20m.

    Herald patches S24 12.814 E152 41.257
Better from Bundaberg or Burnet heads. Home to trout, parrot and RTE, there can be big Reds here and to SE in the 45 m to
    65m depths.

anyone else want to share a spot or two ?

How about the close crossing ?

This sounds like a good opportunity to see what M&G's are all about. I'll set aside the time & hope work isn't too busy.
