Starcke river, when is it accessible?

Just as the title suggests, when it it possible to get to starcke river? What is the camping like? Any fresh water available? Best places to fish?

In my opinion it gets hit too hard due to proximity to Cooktown, Hopevale etc. Best quote from a local about Cape Flattey close near by was "january theres more nets here than at wimbeldon". I'd push on. Whats another days drive if you've already come from Rocky.
