    epirb

    does anyone know for sure if ya need a epirb around the moreton bay like mud island ect. i heard u do and heard u dont???

    heres a paragraph cut from MSQ site:

    EPIRBs (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons)

    All ships operating beyond smooth and partially smooth waters must carry a 406 MHz digital EPIRB if more than two nautical miles from land.

    Moreton Bay is smooth and partially smooth waters

    look here for borders of smooth partially smooth and open waters
