Wow, they're massive, bet they fought hard!
One day we were driving on the beach and came across a bit of a school of ocean mullets.
The esky is about 400 wide if I remember so make up your own mind on size.
Gees they were good on the tooth as well

I Fish, I catch, I SNAG
They fought real hard to tell the truth.
The cook could not move her arms for 3 days.
Nancy boy me could not even get them in.
I had to cast and catch them and she got them in.
We got that feed and the guy in the background is the back neighbour.
he only had a boat rod and got didly.'
When we got our feed we lent him the rod and an hour later he had his feed too.
The stupid about that day was that people started to swim where we were fishing.....
Mix one large tight pod of nice ocean mullet (wonder why they were all tight??), add some blood, some swimmers and maybe a noah's ark or seven and what do you get??

Today my better half caught a 50cm mullet on prawn flesh and a 1/0 or 2/0 owner suicide hook... It was taking some impressive runs and took her a good few minutes to land. I'll post a pic in about half an hour.
EDIT: pic posted
My best was 30cm from the same creek "near Carindale" that some of the other fish have come from. I kept it for bait and when I cleaned it it was full of mud. Have you guys had the same experience?
Do you use a float or just unweighted bread?
Cheers
Chris
