Moreton Bay Boat Rally

I thought this thread was about the organising of a boat rally.
Not an argument about if the locking up of the bay is good or bad or who caused it or any other crap.

So what is the general breakdown of events during the day??

Last time we all got into the city and then nothing...nobody knew anything and we ran out of road then we all went home.
Most people in the city probably thought how can all these people with boats get lost and end up here.
It would have been better having a mass rally on the water at say Wello Pt or along the pier at Scarborough or motoring up the river and having a mass fish outside parliament house

Is this going to be another long drive into the city then a drive home or is there going to be something happening in the city??
Is there going to be a Police escort and people on traffic lights as last time the convoy was spread out along a 30km span due to the traffic lights and definitely lost it's impact??
IMO the rally at the ramps was good...the trip into the city was a nightmare trying to stay in a group and when we got the city I reckon one or two in a hundred of the people there knew what was happening and why all these boats were going through the city.

Good, no excellent, idea having a rally but practicalities have to be worked out so everyone knows what the go is so the impact can be maximised.

I'm waiting to hear more also, although I will commit to joining in now.

hopefully there will be posters/stickers etc that I can put on the car and boat so the public know exactly what we are about.
actually, that idea of the mass river rally would make a sizeable impact also - especially if the media gave us airplay and it was staged well.
