What type of sealant have members used when connecting the fuel connector from their outboard fuel line to the tank pick up? My current one on top of the portable tank has split so I have to refit.

Are you just talking about a slip-fit tube connection? Where you just push the fuel line onto the tube protruding from the tank? Or a barbed spigot from a quick connect? If so, no sealant, just push it on as far as you can and hose clamp it.
Where you push the fuel line on to the tank. I have to fit the Suzuki ( in this case) “receiver” into the threaded top of the fuel pickup. The old one had some kind of sealant in it but I don’t know what it was.

I’m lazy and just use stag. For anything fuel related that doesn’t have any flex involved
Was it red in colour? No sealant is needed but the last person may have rubber grease to make it easier.Quote:

The plastic tanks will not leak where the fitting screws in if that's what you mean, the thread will seal off OK.
