Has anyone delt with this problem in recent years. Is it fixable? Should i fix it or get new engines?I know there is a repair kit. However idont know what it will cost. Or if its worth fixing. I found old entries but not about who has actually had this problem and delt with it.Anyone know a repairer who has experience with this. I am located in Brisbane. My engines are 2003 f225 with 700hs each. The corrosion is causing exhaust gas to bubble out of the wrong spots.The motors run fine.

    Hi Mickey flinders yes I have a 2004 225 xl efi have read a lot about problem on YouTube American sites and have just today started ringing Yamaha and mercury parts but both said they knew nothing about the problem.
    I intend to get to the bottom of this how did you go with yours I know this is a year later but I have just recently joined ausfish and learning how to navigate site.
    strange you got no replies when it seems to be a huge problem in the states??
    any way looking forward to your response regards Alan
