;) Our family fished Somerset on Sunday 21 Oct, from 6am to 10.30am, and then from 3.30pm to Sunset. We trolled a few areas, up in the timber north of Kirkleagh, no result, saw some baito's getting success though. Then we zoomed down to Queen street, and did a troll by with no result. Next we moved to the Hump. We picked up a 35.5cm bass, and an 18cm bass. Half time, smoko. In the afternoon, we returned to the hump, and picked up 2 bass at 29cm, and one at 34.5cm. We saw another happy angler pick up a golden weighing in a 5 kilo. The weather was beautiful and 4 of the fish were taken on a small Codger lure in chartreuse, black and yellow colours. The smallest fish fell to a Reidy's in leopard print orange.

Hi Katrina,
From memory that would be your first bass wouldn't it?
Any way, good to see you got a few. Recon you'll be back.
Also a bit closer that Leslie eh?

Cheers,

;) Yeah, my first bass, 18cm and 29cm! Somerset is such a big dam, and we chewed a lot of juice getting around. We only just got back on Sunday evening with a few litres to spare. Normally that amount of juice would do us a few trips. Also took us a lot of time to get between spots. We still prefer Leslie, because it's small and the fish can be really happening, but Somerset is definitely a good option. (It's actually only about 20 mins closer than Leslie for us!)
