hey guys
yesterday morning jaybee picked me up from my house at around 9:30am. We packed up his car with the fishing rods and sorted everything out. At around 1:00pm I think it was we picked up his mate Dennis and went home and waited for David and a woman (can't remember the name). Who arrived moments later. We then set off at roughly 2:30pm. When we got there we unpacked everything including Joe's snazzy trolley lol. Oh yeah, before that we picked 5 bags of worms between me and joe. Anyways back to where I was we started walking to the jetty payed and walked another couple of miles to our spot on the jetty. We more or less started fishing straight away for whiting. No luck Joe decided to try for some tailor coz some bloke said the tailor were on so he rigged up his pillies on ganged hooks and had a few casts, no luck, David managed to pull up a nice sized bream weighing around 1lb and just over 27-28 cm long and I had the pleasure of keeping that. Thanks Dave!!
Kylie, carley (basically im trying to think of the name of the 'woman') pulled up a happy moment. I pulled up some sort of Dart or something that looked like it anyways (jaybee would be able to tell you) and that was that. At around 8:20pm we decided to call ti a day, 8:35pm we left.
Anyways thanks for letting me accompany you on this trip very grateful also great to meet some people that love fishing and are willing to give it a try (the woman)
thanks again Jaybee and Dennis (wombat45, sorry dennis now you identity is no longer secret)
cheers again jack

;D It was a pleasure to put a name to the face (jack) and yes the ladies name was kylie and it was her first time fishing. Albeit a bad time at that as it was the first time in 3 years fishing down the jetty that I have not walked away with a feed. It is also the first time I have fished down there on the full moon according to my log. Never again eh on the full moon. Also this is the first time I have been with more then 2 people fishing..mmmm must be something in that as well ??? As Jack said someone said the tailor were on so i pulled out the surf rig and low and behold lost one bait and saw 3 tailor of exceptional quality caught..some snodger dart but in all about 6 between a wall of 20 fisherpersons. Jack also managed a small sweep, my tally for the night was one dart that was better off back in the water. How embarrasing is it to invite someone along to a haunt and walk away empty handed..I am sure this has happened to others but this is my first time..and boy am I embarrassed.. :-[ However I wonder how many others were caught out by the weather..better luck next time http://www.ausfish.com.au/chat/images/smilies/cwm35.gif

::) bottom line jack that is what fishing is about, socialising and having a good time, and nature, sunup and sundown plus the colour of the water, however a good feed tops it off. but then if you walk away without a feed, we need to remember the friendships and above, and nature that has bought enjoyment to us .
cheers

yeah, hope we can do it again sometime. Put it this way it was the best way to spend a saturday night (fishing, socialising with other fishermen and finding out different techniques.
cheers jack
