BeastMaster left Raby Bay at about 4.30pm Saturday Afternoon , it was a beautiful ride to the northern end , and completely glassed out as the night went on. Just before my 10 year old son went to bed , he helped me land a nice 38.77kg cobe, lost a couple of very large fish had a beer and went off to bed. Enjoyed a nice smooth trip back on Sunday AM.

Nice catch Beastmaster.......did you fish around Bulwer or Tangas?......was the cobe caught on a live bait?

Hi Aquarius - Yes it was caught in between Tangas and Bulwer. It took a whole dead mullet about 3/4 kg.Only had 4 hits all night but they were smokers , I think if I would have taken the time to aquire some livies my knuckles would have been permanently dragging along the ground. I can't wait for my 10 y/o son to get big enough to help out with the gaff duties. PS it was actually caught on his rod - but he couldnt get it out of the rod holder.

Hi Blue Escape - 37kg line on a TLD 50. stopped it. I tried 15 and 24kg but they werent real successfull
