finally got a card reader after losing the usb for my camera :P

headed out sunday for a fish with the old man and a good mate of mine to try some more jigging. went to square patch first with action a little slow had 2 bustoffs and my mate landed one nice kingy around the 10kg mark or so. then decided to head up to deep tempest with favourable conditions and while headibg to our spot we went ovr some nice ground on the sounder. we stopped there and decided to have a fish there. first drop with a bait i nailed a nice pearlie of about 48cm but a really thin fiah. the next hour or so seen a few more pearlies and squire heading to the boat via baits and jigs. all the rest of the pearlies that day were landed on jigs .
i changed tactics and dropped another jig down and thought to just bounce it along the bottom for a bit . after about 5 mins of nothing i then got a small tap on the drop 2 more taps followed that on the next 2 drops and then i came up solid. after a nice solid fight i had 12kgs of beautiful samson fish laying on the deck og the boat. lovely fish that went down well in a spicy thai green curry :D

hey guys we were fishing in 90mtrs of water and the method of jigging was just a smal lift and drop off the bottom every 2 secs or so were using 200g squid looking jigs seemed to do the trick as i got smashed on the first one i dropped down second lift.

the recipe is nothing fancy just buy one of the aia at home green curry kits and some coconut milk also add a little extra garlic and ginger bewdiful ;)

and nah scotty thats not a mackie it was a bonito we got on the jigs he is what i turned into my pearlie.

we also found to get the pearlies on the jigs we just slowly lifted and dropped them to the bottom as well they were eating anything they got near my mate got a 34cm pearlie on a 45cm 400g jig!!

cheers matt
