Hey guys,

This GT was caught by a mate of mine on the urangan pier at about 4:30 this afternoon. Was released straight after a few photos so it wasn't weighed, though estimated between 25-30kg.

Cheers,
Ben

magnificent fish mate how did you get him up of the water and how long was the fight

Hey warrior,

The fight was only about 10 mintues. It tired itself out pretty much on the first run. A gaff was used to pull it out of the water.

Cheers Ben

Hey maccamania
He was flicking live green back herring under the pier and letting it swim out.

Hey fishingnottaken

He was using a penn 6/0 loaded with 50lb mono and a 60lb mono leader. Also have a look at www.fishntales.com for all the info on hervey bay fishing.

Cheers
