This could be long winded but i'll keep as short as possible.Went for my 1st trip in said river Sunday and took a mate.Later i realised it was his birthday.We ended up with 3 keeper bream and 1 x 43cm jack.Couple of nice flathead and few more bream sent back when they didn't go size.
He could have bigger smile for the pic but i'm sure he was smiled out,i know he went wobbly at the knees when i called big jack upon the 1st sighting.I'm sure anyone down the Tweed would have heard his hollering and yahooing.It was his 1st jack and a beauty at that.
I tried to get him to part with it for my plate but to no avail,after all it was my rod(his reel was playing up so kindly let him use my other rod),my boat,my idea to explore this river and my idea that got him that jack.Mean i reckon for not sharing with the skipper.
