Hit the pin this morn with my bro chris and mate phil in search of new spots in the flattie classic. Found fish early but the quality was av. After 20 rats and a couple of nice fish we moved around and chris got a 72 at tipplers. This was no ordinary fish as the plak had completely disapeared inside it's stomach. The photo shows what we had to deal with and it's the first time I've ever had to cut a lure off to release a lizard. Pretty sad as the chance of the flatty pushing it out is very low. Continued on and caught a heap more rats everywhere we went with the biggest being 76. We pulled the pin early this rvo as phil nailed number 40. Plenty of numbers but the size was ordinary. All up it was a good day with plenty of new spots found for us pin haters. Theres not another place on earth where we could catch 40 flatties and still not enjoy ourselves. I hate the pin! Thank god for tipplers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers

Great Pics & story Creek Vermin, but why do you hate the pin so much?
40 fish, do you think you can maintain it 4 the classic?
Cheers

Jason- Yeah mate were in the galeforce. howd you go

Toppy- we could catch a hundred of the rats we got today and still not make top ten. hopefully the quality improves by october. Hate the pin cause there seems to be an excessive amount of wankers in one particular area. It's unfortunate that the area holdsgood numbers of lizards. Judging by francos reports there some big girls getting around. Lets hope they hang around for a while yet

Great session there CV and nice pics.
Don't be so sure about the survival of the flattie though because I've caught a fair few with hooks in their guts that were still healthy. They were healthy enough to slam a lure anyway. Good to see you gave the big girl the benefit of the doubt. ;)

Hopefully it lives mate. A couple of years ago my bro scored a lizard in the classic on a prawnstar that had a slavko bug wedged across its gob. came complete with barnacles and hooks that almost didnt exist. The fish measured 55 and was healthy. did it a favour and got rid of the bug. Impreesive and hungry fish the flatty. they never cease to amaze

Thats a great session fellas wouldn't worry about the size of fish too much. Its those days when NOTHING works that really demoralise you, and you can barely raise a 20cm tadpole then you hook a beast only to find yourself attached to a 5kg ray!!

The big fish are on their way they're just spread out at the moment unless you can find a good patch of bait It seems.

Nice pics of the 76 model She'd look good on the catwalk eh?!!!
Don't know about the fishos though!

;D ;D
