Offshore softies (late report 22/10)

Had my first trip offshore with the soft plastics saturday week ago.I was fishing with 14lb braid and was smoked numerous times by freight trains.The fish i did get up where all good quality.I got my first snapper on plastics also a sweety and some moses perch.My mate got a couple of nice snapper on livies(cheating)and he managed to land one of the freight trains(kingy)which we released.

good stuff leigh they are some awesome fish on softies. what a moses perch what did it weigh? hopefully its the first of many succesful soft plastic sessions offshore

good effort there
what jighead were u using and what size/brand hook??
i tried it and got my tts bent staight (prob. had something to do with the 50lb braid and paternosetter rig plus cobe ;D).

They where 17gram nitros with 5/0 hook

just run the heavy heavy duty TT's you wont bend them ;)
