Had a later (5am) start this morning with Jeff (propdinger) and his Dad (Brian) in the Haines 650 Pursuit. Awesome ride....simple as that.

Was out off PL Saturday in good conditions, but fishing was extremely slow. Seems that trend is continuing this week. Hit the waverider first but couldn't find anything worthwhile on the surface or the bottom. Jeff managed a reasonable squire/snapper. Moved around a few spots within the Cathedrals area for no result before heading back to PL to troll from Boat Rock to Sevens Reef. Nothing around Boat Rock, but managed two yellowfin tuna (3-4kg) and a wahoo (7-8kg) at Sevens.

All in all a less than average day fish wise, but conditions were absolutely sterling with a near total glass out most of the time.

Brian's got the pics - post away mate.

Cheers all

Ben

Sounds like today was the day conditions wise, pitty the fish didn't play the game :-/ I was looking at the SST off PL today, 26deg+, thought you may have found a few pelagics lurking. I'd be stoked with an 8kg 'hoo myself.

yeah pete they were the main target at the start of the day to get a few but there was rat kingies everywhere and not many dollies of any size but shes only early in the season. Ben was going to go over the side and have a go if they werent bitting but there was just none there worth the effort. was a great day anyway

cheers

How come baldy gets to hold the fish ;D, maybe if he grew some hair back and stopped trying to look like Jeff ;D and held his mouth right ;) the fish might jump in the boat :-?

Geez Webby, obviously your eyesight is getting worse in your old age - plenty of hair on my dome now mate. Think I've forgotten how to hold me mouth right...better do a mission in the bay with you so you can show me ::) ... perhaps a black spot mission.
