left mooloolaba tuesday with 3 onboard. Started fishing wide at 0515hrs. Bagged out on pearlies quickly, then went for snapper. manged a few snaps and couldn't get away from the pearlies[lost count after releasing more than 40 legal fish]. alot of big bust ups along the way.
Alot of dollies around and at 4 different locations we had them doing circles around the boat up to 7 at a time. couldn't get them to eat berly or baited lines except this one[wish i had livies ;D ;D]

We had the same problem with them once and the only way to catch them was to scale the line size down to 4kg leader and 1 x small hook hidden deep in 1/2 a pillie. Got plenty of fish and good fun on the light gear but had a lot more bust ups as well.

Curent has been hoorendous out wide off the Goldy, no bottom bashin form us for a while yet.
