Headed out of mooloolaba and cruised north at 26 knots. After having troubles with the trailer for the last month and missing some good "fishing periods" it was good to be out and we were heading for some new ground to search in the middle of nowhere. After many hours of travelling and searching we started fishing.

1st spot produced parrot, hussar and a cobe that was released. Next couple of spots produced good pearlies and small squire, on a small reef system we had found that ran north/south. Bagged out fairly quickly. Tried various spots producing more pearls, reefies and a nice red. Called it a day and went home.

Nice red Ty and a top looking rig you've got there mate. Sounds like you ventured out up near the Hards or Muds.

Great fish Ty :) That Coastal Cat must be a great sea boat to do 26knots in the conditions Saturday morning :o

I'll bet is was great to get back on the water.

Cheers,

Big_Ren,
no we weren't fishing the hards/muds, we were fishing shallower water between noosa and double island point.

SeaSaw,
yer the coastal cats are wonderful boats, when it gets sloppy. Once you've travelled in rough water in one ya quiver at the thought of being in a monohull.(and some cats ;D)

Az, Gummtree
I only have one pic of the boat, however i'll try and get more and post them. The conditions weren't too bad(we've been in alot worse) but sloppy and the waves were forming close together and standing tall, about 3m being the maximum we encounted. We normaly cruise between 18-22knots but bumping the revs to 4500 and 26knots had the boat riding nicely on its air and cuttin the tops of the waves off.
