arrived at barwons at spot x found sounder alive.
It was a bit hard to anchor up because of a 15 knot n/eand a washing machine on top.T he lines went in and it wasntlong before we started catching snapperbest quality ive seen for a while,as the moon went down so the the fish bite droped off .We hit the bunks and got up at 3.30am,fishing was a bit slow till daybreak then the snapper came on the chew again.Once the sun came up the snapper went off the bite with pearlies coming on board nearly drop with the odd snapper thrown in.Called it a dayabout 8.30amwith the wind picking up to 20 knots accasionally, had a reanonable quick trip home only to be stopped by the fisheries patrol.I was boarded and asked for all my licences and they checked all my safety gear was not out of date. After about 1/2 hour checking and answering questions and all the paper wiork they had to fill out ,i was on my way home again
a few pics of the fish

Thems some solid snaps - great work Pete!!

Adam

Just a question... whats it like sleeping while its like a washing machine?? Ever get worried the anchor will pull and you'll wake up in New Zealand? I know you're a pro - but can you spare a tip for a newby?

hey pete,
good to see the snappo's still hitting baits at the barwons. nice feed of pearlies too. i had the water police off straddie two weeks ago too. they were real good though, wanted photo's with the fish even. i made sure they didn't mark the spot on the gps. ;)
