How do you guys stuff your running line on your shoting heads?. Ive been using LC13 with norm braided line but would like to stick some Mono (or braid)up its guts to make it a bit less tanglly. Do I just use a long needle and paticence or is there some trick to it. Cheers Matt

Stuff it with GsP, use a long "doll" needle and a lot of patience. Cheers Max
PS you are better off if you stuff only as much as you can handle, once you get over 120 feet it can become bloody unbearable. You will need a shooting basket.

Hey Matt
Bit of a trick to stuffing mono up the GUTS.Go outside measure out the desired length of running line ie about 100 foot and lay it out straight. You can tie it off to the fence to make it a bit easier. Tie 8kg mono to a 4inch bait needle and start stuffing. You need to make sure the mono comes off the spool without any twist so if you put a screwdriver through the middle and let it roll of you should be ok.It should only take about 1 hour to do this. This will work using 50 pound braid, it takes alot longer to do with 35.
Cheers
Scott.
PS. Make sure you don't stretch the mono to much when you get the lengths right otherwise you end up with the braided mono bunching up when a fish screams off and your guiding the slack line off the floor.

Not much point to stuffing braided mono with mono, both stretch and the braid is more abrasive than the straight mono. The ideal is GSP to give no stretch, which is ideal for hook setting. Max

PS, Don't forget that as you stuff the braid it increases in diameter a little bit and reduces its length, the bigger the stufing GsP, that is diameter, the greater the length change.
Just a thought, but stuffing 50lb braid is not what you want either, the GsP must be a higher b/s than the mono braid, generally its 30 or 50 up 20/25 braid. Cheers Max
