I am posting this for my son .He wants to purchase a second hand fibreglass boat and trailer.
If it needs work done on it then thats fine.
He only wants to go to 4.5 metres in boat length.
What sort of money would he be looking at spending to first purchase the boat and trailer and then roughly by doing the work himself what would a rough cost be if the boat does not require major rebuilding.
hope this is not to hard a question.
thanks
Troy

Troy,

Nearly finished my 17ft seafarer costs as follows. Trailer new rollers/winch/tow hitch/skids/paint/lights/wiring $250.00. Motor no cost runs well. Boat transom/fiberglass/shelving/paint inside and top deck only $800.00. Extras all safty gear for off shore and seats/esky/sounder/radio/bait board everything to get out on the water another $1500.00. plus boat $1300. Around $4000.00 on the water.
