Just a quick one, I've just upgraded from a 35 Johno to a 70 Mercury(1981). I've got a 4.3m coxcraft and typically we'll have 2 adults and 3 kiddies on board plus fuel and ??? beer!! It's got a 12 pitch prop that is damaged so I've got to get a new prop, I'd like to bump up to 13 or 14 pitch. Has anyone out there had any experience with this setup, Any suggestions on prop size would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Gidday,Try www.solas.com.au They have an advisory section, but you need to have all the numbers off your old prop, boat weights etc to be able to fill out the questionaire.
Hope this helps,regards David

The original post is over 4 years old, so I'm tipping Sanppy's probably done something about it by now :D

Just a quick one, indeed :D

wow - I miss so many posts it's good to get something 4 years old. Just had my motor serviced by Neptunes at Springwood and was asked about my prop performance. Mentioned would like to try something a litttle more fuel efficient without losing the jump out of the hole. Was immediately offered the use of a flow meter and a number of props to test to find the best solution - now that's service.
