While Col was busy finishing off my new boat 'Xiphiiadae", I've been up in Korea standing by the building of my new workplace.

So Ando what does that ship actually do? Is it some sort of drilling rig?

Vessel is an 'FPSO' (Floating Production Storage and Offloading facility). We make the oil onboard (100,000 barrels a day on start up!) then discharge it to an oil tanker that will more behind us via a floating hose. We are moored to a subsea riser in 400m of water.
The location is the 'Enfield' development area, located approximately 30km north of Ningaloo Reef. I fly Brisbane-Perth-Learmonth, then choppper out offshore. Vessel has just arrived in Dampier, and will be on location late May. I'm due back May 31st, so will hopefully be able to post some pics of us moored to the subsea riser.
I've got a whole heap of other photo's from the shipyard if anyone is interested.
