Hi All,

Went for a quick cod fish Saturday 16/09/06 just walked a great little creek for approx 2 K's started fishing around 3pm flicking spinnerbaits at the start and as the light faded swapped to surface lures. Ended up with 10 nice little cod ranging from 3lb up to about 7 pound was a great arvo session heres a couple of pics.

Hi Bomber

Nice fish

Down my way, (Albury NSW) it's closed season

We're not allowed to target cod :(

Guess you must be in QLD

That is awsome fishing! The stuff I dream about before I go to sleep.I am yet to catch a Cod.I have put in a lot of frustrating hours for no result >:(I am patient and persistant and hope my day will soon come.I don't care about size,Just wanna catch the legend that is,The Murray Cod.

Nice report and pics too cobber.

Bomber,
# # # # # # I too have a lot of fish I like. But then theres' the fish ya love. For me it's the Australian Bass,And even though I haven't yet caught one,The Murray Cod.Maybe cause I'm a patriotic Aussie?I just have a real soft spot for these fish.I've caught alot of Bass (Wild and impoundment) but still can't bring myself to put one on the table.I think it's respect for the true battler that is the Australian Bass,And the for the hard work put in by those who stock them.

The magical colours,The massive sizes,The beautiful envioroments and the legendary stories that surround the Cod,For some reason draw me too him. Both national treasures,And true natives. 8-)

I also like Bass caught plenty of wild and impoundment same with the Barra, these days I keep no fish for the table just love catchin em. The Cod thing is a relatively new thing for me and I have been extremely lucky being shown how to target these great fish. Been out twice now chasing them and 100% record so far on lures next challenge is to catch one on fly.
