Can anyone tell me where Mark's Rocks are in the Logan River. Cos I've herd the Jacks are on in this part.

if anyone else is after the location there is a great article by nugget in last years b'n'b vol12,number 2 Febuary 2001 page 10where nugget tells of the fish caught there and also draws up a map of the location!!!!!!!! now hows that for research????

Seen a good jack from the logan on sat, it went 52cm a nice fish for around here thay tell me.

Adrian........Marks Rocks are located opposite the floating green bouy ....If you are coming from the mouth of the Logan this is the first beacon you will encounter.
You will see 3 large pipes going into the river just up from this area........these pipes are taking water out of the river for a prawn farm.

Can any one tell me where the powerlines are near the Logan River where all the whiting are being caught as of late?

Thanks for the map Touchy. Lost two good size flathead today (60+ cms) :'( and landed another that went 75 cms ;D on the sandbanks in front of the Marks Road boat ramp.

Powerlines are at the mouth of the river, you can't miss them as you head out of the mouth.

Grab yourself a copy of Brownies Beacon to Beacon from most newsagents and tackle store. Well worth having with you and for looking up when your hear of a spot mentioned.
