GIDDAY ALL I HAVE JUST GOT A MARINE RADIO AND WAS WONDERING WETHER IT IS COMPATABLE/USABLE HERE IN AUS AS I'M NOT SURE WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED ITS A

SHAKESPEARE MARINE VHF RADIO

MODEL SE 2500/S

IT HAS HI /LO 25WATT/1WATT SETTING
USA/INTERNATIONAL CHANEL SELECTION
OTHER CHANEL INFO IS 124 TOTAL, 57 USA, 57 INTERNATIONAL, 10 WEATHER

ANY INFO WOULD BE GOOD AS I DONT LIVE NEAR THE COAST TO TRY IT OUT

Hi Gary,
It will work with a VHF antenna-no problems. ;D Any good radio mech should be able to do a base load test to check out if it transmitting/receiving OK.

yes it should work no probs.

only thing is to switch it to international mode. The difference is that in USA mode you can not use high power on some channels. One of them channels is 73, which is used to communicate with VMR. so setting the unit to international will allow the use of high power.

thx guys, peter it is brand new still in the box so it should work in that regard i will have to let the vmr check it out next time i'm at the Jacobs Well
