Have just fitted a humminbird 128 wide (second hand) to my boat.Went out on the weekend the only reading i got was a flatline 0.Screen is working fine in simulater mode.In test mode says the transducer is connected and all is ok.My thoughts are that the transducer is not working.anyone got any pointers that may help ???

Sounds like your transducer to me. Did the unit come with the instruction booklet? Might be the angle or level the transducer was installed at. Did you get any reading when the boat was stopped - anchored or drifting? If not, then I think your transducer may be buggered.

Bob Little Agencies in Brisbane handles service and repairs. Over near Tingalpa I think. I think they will repair any unit for $150, so take it in and let them check it out for you if all else fails.

might seem stupid but the transducer needs to be in water to work, if you touch the bottom with your finger you will feel a pulse
