Hey rob in answer to your question mine were venus tuskers too,but didnt know their type name just parrotts to me ??? also got a few red big headed what i would call gurnets , a mate thinks scorpion fish but very spiky and big mouthed, only their mother could love cheers ray

Ray, the spiky ones are red scorpion cod, great eating fish but quiet a severe sting...I keep them often but seperate them from other fish for safety reasons, and then cut the dorsal spikes off with scissors and use a glove to ward off the small head spikes, they are good for something at least ;D

Would have been OK for a trip, the swell looks a bit big for outside but.

been calling those tusk fish in dem dere fotos *slack jawed yokel* Parrot fish for years, the red spikey nuggets ive been calling them Red Rock Cod.. also known as the Poor Mans Lobster.. related to the Stone Fish... but bloody good tucka
