Minn kota st112

Recently fished offshore on a 7m platey fitted with a Minn Kota ST112 with I pilot. It was unreal when there was no run but when it started it couldn't cut it. Has anyone heard of a dual system (2 x ST112's) to gain another 112lb of thrust as the principle is brilliant.

You would just about to have to run a gen set to supply power to 2 X 36 volt motors.If they are working flat out they will be drawing 100 amps so you would need a massive battery bank

Mercury I believe have the spot lock system available on some of there bigger outboards. Be good when the other outboard suppliers do the same.

Interested to know what type of platey it was. Half cab or open boat.
