Found this under the cowl of my motor the motor is a Honda bf20 2006 it was jus laying there?

Its the thingamajig that fits over the whatsamacallit....
Im guessing somewhere in the air intake part of the motor

is that the vegetable strainer the missus is missing :)
who serviced it last, they would have a good idea and if it is a motor component I would suggest that they would be up for the replacement part and checking out what damage could have occurred by it not being in place although it does appear to be a pretty coarse strainer for a motor.

My guesstimate:
It 'used' to sit just inside the air intake to keep the big bugs out, but that was when it was round.....
