beep too loud! - DF115

Does anyone know if it's possible to turn down the beep volume when you turn on the ignition of a Suzuki DF115? I understand that you would want to hear the beep alarm if something was wrong but its very annoying particularly when you're next to another boats trying to enjoy some serenity. It's a pity because the DF is so beautifully quiet at idol. Thanks.

Ive grown to love my beep, and best of all its a BIG one.

Wrap some duct tape around the element.........thats what we did with the forklift reverse beeper at work,just takes the edge off of it.

I'll try the tape (thanks Dan5). Preso, glad to hear you love your beep but I think my beep is bigger than yours. :)

It's a safety thing, don't think you can switch it off. Good to let the kids/missus know to stay clear of the motor
