Hey Guys,

Recently moved down here from darwin and living in moranbah- have a 5.5 plate boat and keen to get into some spearing! have got the gear and the boat, just need the spots and a few dive buddies, so if anyone knows there spearing around these areas and keen to head out with us let me know.

Have seen guys spearing off Dolphin Heads, Slade rock, Dangerous reef etc also heard that guys spear off harbour wall but the currents can be nasty there. all within 1 or 2km of shore. Guy at work used to go out to Prince reef but thats 120km out. Speak to Shane Morris at Shane Morris marine he should be able to help you a bit more

I have speared off Dolphin Heads, it isnt too bad. If you want to head out in your boat, try spearing around Keswick Island and also around Goldsmith Island. Should not have any trouble getting there in a 5.5m.
