Hi all I am wondering what you think a reasonable price for a 1,2,3,4,8,12 or 16 oz snapper sinkers would be per unit. What would you pay for 1 of each of these prices?
Thanks

Could I suggest that you buy or borrow a mould & make your own. It is not rocket science & way cheaper than buying them retail.

peter, yeah i agree not hard to do but form some people that dont understand the risk of melting lead and the health warnings it could be dangerous. i did my own for a while and always used a respirator mask while doing this, i have had friends do it with nothing and just think where they could be with lead poisoning in 2 years. cheers Lee

scrap lead costs $2/kg, based on that,

16 ounce sinkers are .49 (close enough to half a kg) each. So materials cost $1 per sinker.

Work out what your labour cost is to make the sinkers, cost of the moulds ($25 ea), work out how many you can make an hour, add a percentage for the initial outlay of gas, moulds, benches etc and you should get a relative figure.
