Hi everyone,
I would like to know which is the best way to get to Kooringal on Moreton Island from Manly.

We headed to Readers Point on sunday on a falling tide but couldnot find a way to head back into Kooringal . We followed the beach but couldnot find a channel .
We got close but water depth was 3 foot so was worried I might not make it out at low tide.
Can you get get to Kooringal from the sandhills?
Which is the best route?

We have a 5.4m half cabin.:D

Have a look on Google Earth. It shows the banks pretty well. They are shallow and will restrict access on certain tides. The channel from Blue Hole is very shallow and "go slow" zoned

Yeah thanks Horse . I had a look on google earth and I see the best way to get in . There is a sand bank at Reeders that you have to go over to reach the channel, that is the one I was hesitant to cross on sunday.

Cheers.
