Hey TJ Bear,

I purchased my Prowler Elite 4.5 from Adventure Outlet and his service was great. Craig went through all the pros/cons of what I need and don't need and then fitted my kayak out completely. If you are interested in buying they have a rental Prowler Elite 4.5 and Hobie kayak out the front of the shop and he was only to happy to let you give them a test run if needed.

Went down to Adventure outlet at Southport this afternoon and craig was great. Now I just have to decide between the Hobbie Adventurer and the Prowler Elite 4.5.

I went for the Prowler Elite because I wanted a kayak that was good for fishing and also gave you a good work out. The Hobie's are great fishing platforms being hands free, but I preferred a paddle & rudder system compared to the foot drive of the Hobie. Good luck with your choice, you can't go wrong with either.

I just bought a Hobie Quest Fish and an Ocean Kayak Venus11 from Craig at Adventure Outlet. The Quest for me and the Venus in pink for the 'Nighhtwatchman'. Same comments as above about Craig, VERY good service, great guy to deal with and happy to help/answer any questions you have. He just installed the rudder on my quest on Friday (I did help a very little bit) but haven't tried it out yet.

BTW, my Hobie Quest is a Paddle craft, not a pedal craft. Most people go the Hobie's for the pedal style, but I do like this Hobie as it does just about everything I am after.

Hey Geoff, well done on the freebie. You didn't mention which yak you "purchased" & I was wondering if it was an Emotion and if so what you thought of it. I'm looking at getting the Emotion Stealth Angler yak next time they have a sale. Maybe I'll do it "interest free" too.....:)

cheers
